Did you know that the average person emits 2.0 – 3.9 tonnes of Carbon each year! Help us stop global warming.
Calculate your carbon emission and find ways to offset those emissions to become carbon neutral.

Compare your country’s emissions with the rest of the world.
Uncertainty about the future is not a reason for inaction. We have more knowledge and information about how our climate is changing than we have on interest rate movements, currency fluctuations, economic growth, changes in markets and political stability.
Changing markets, customer needs and investor expectations will present significant
opportunities for those companies that take action to climate-proof their businesses.
Businesses should review their climate risk management strategies and check that they are responding to both the mitigation and the acclimatisation agendas. Action is required on both – now. Sustainable management of Iwokrama, the world’s great forests and other natural resources should be part of the risk management portfolio of many businesses.
Carbon Capital Limited is delighted to support the Iwokrama Appeal and to contribute to the sustainable management of this unique rainforest.
Carbon Capital creates and manages investments in large scale land-use change projects in tropical developing countries. It specializes in forestry, biomass energy and carbon trading. Carbon Capital was ranked 20th by CNBC in their 2007 list of Top 50 Global Low Carbon Pioneers.

Saving the planet may seem like an impossible job, but here are a few things you can do to help offset your carbon emissions:
1. Change a light; replace your incandescent light bulbs with compact fluorescent lights (energy savers). These normally last longer and use 66 % less energy than incandescent bulbs. These also reduce the release of greenhouse gas emissions and are safer because they burn at a lower temperature.
2. Drive less, walk, carpool or take public transportation more often, you will save one pound of carbon dioxide for every mile you don't drive.
3. Check your tires, and keep them properly inflated. This improves gas mileage by more than 3% and every gallon of gasoline saved is equivalent 20 pounds of carbon dioxide reduced.
4. Recycle more; you can save about 2,400 pounds of carbon dioxide per year by recycling just half of your household waste.
5. Avoid products with lots of packaging, you can save 1,200 pounds of carbon
dioxide if you cut down your garbage by only 10%. Also look for products that use recyclable packaging materials.
6. Plant a tree, a single tree will absorb one ton of carbon dioxide over its lifetime.
7. Turn off electronic devices when not in use. Turning off your TV, DVD player, stereo and computer
when you are not using them will save thousands of pounds of carbon dioxide
per year.
8. Buy more locally produced meats, produce and products; this reduces the amount of energy it needs to get goods from far away to your store shelves.
9. Use reusable wares. Using glass wares and other non disposable
utensils reduces the amount of garbage you contribute to the environment and the amount the carbon needed to dispose of it.
10. Contribute to protecting the earth by supporting activities aimed at conservation and sound environmental management.
