Iwokrama International Centre is foremost a partnership between the nation of Guyana and the Commonwealth Secretariat. Guyana has vested management of the nearly one million acres (371,000 hectares) of its forested land for to Iwokrama International Centre, which is managed by the International Board of Trustees and supported by the Commonwealth and the international community.
